In the supermarket, bicarbonate of soda is in the flour aisle near the cake-making things (hundreds and thousands, patty pans, birthday candles, etc).

I had the darnedest time finding baking soda in Italy until I chanced upon it in the cleaning section. ;-)
ReplyDeleteExactly, Rowena! Except I think in the reverse: we use a heap of that stuff for cleaning, so I tend to look near the cleaning things, or the spice things because it is a food ingredient.
