Oh, so that was the reason.

Pellegrini's Nino Pangrazio, upon learning that Starbucks is to close most of its Australian stores: " ... they just ruin the flavour of the coffee."


  1. Too right - but sad to see so many kids being done out of a part time job. It was arrogant of them to think they could succeed by here, coming into a market that values good coffee done simply and well trained baristas over the sickly garnishes and US hype.

  2. And to be fair, Nino Pangrazio took a sledge (quoted in The Age) at others doing coffee badly. I wouldn't be surprised to see more big name closures.
