Now I'm wondering: is it cheaper to purchase foreign peanuts and process them locally than it is to either ship jarred peanut butter from another country or to grow the peanuts in Australia? This is how my mind works.
ReplyDeleteIn this case the former applies. In some cases we are growing raw materials, shipping them overseas and re-importing value-added goods.
