Yogurt bar or cheeseburger?

Take the cheeseburger.

I knew this health thing was over-rated.

  1. Everything in moderation. Right now am only eating healthy in moderation (I'd pick the cheese burger)

  2. Ed, I even recommend moderation in moderation.

  3. I used to only check calories and fat on labels, but for a while now I've been looking at sodium as well. The low fat or low cal items have near double the amount of sodium - I suppose otherwise they'd taste like cardboard. I hardly buy packaged "foods" anymore, it grosses me out.
I read somewhere, a while ago, a quote from some chef whose name I have forgotten, that if something contains more than five ingredients it can't really be considered proper food.
No health bar for me, then.

  4. Barbara, what cheese me (pardon the pun) off is misleading packaging. I bought some peanut butter and discovered the dreaded word 'light' in pale lettering. The stuff tasted terrible and wouldn't spread because they'd taken half the oil out - and replaced it with some other non-peanut derived substance.

The there was the flavoured tonic water (tiny word on the label) that I added to good gin ...

  5. Haha, yuck! Two lessons here: always drink your booze straight up, and wear your glasses when going to the market!

  6. Barbara, I don't in the first case and do in the second!
